Job Opportunity: Programmers

The Open Institute is a local non-governmental and not-for-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that the benefits of technology for social and economic advance are usable in Cambodian society. It presently runs six programs: E-learning, Open Schools, KhmerOS, Women, Lexicography and Publications.

The main goal of the Khmer Software Initiative is to help the economic development of Cambodia by providing computer tools in Khmer language that can be used by everybody.

As part of its work, the Open Institute develops Free and Open Source translation and localization tools that are used all over the world to facilitate the localization of computer programs.

The Open Institute is searching for two programmers who will work as part of the team, using Python programming language.

1. Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor degree of Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience on object oriented programming (Python, Java, C++).
  • Good interpersonal skill and motivation to work for a social project.

3. Working condition and Salary

  • This position is full time employment and recruitment is as soon as possible.
  • Salary will be fixed according to qualifications. Programmers with several years of experience are encouraged to apply
