Job Opportunity: Women Project Coordinator Assistant (Re-announced)

The Open Institute is a local non-governmental and not-for-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate knowledge sharing and communication for social development in Cambodia. It presently runs six programs: KhmerOS, Women Empowerment for Social Change, E-learning, Open Schools, Publications and Lexicography.

The Open Institute is seeking qualified candidates for the Women Project Coordinator Assistant - One Position

1. Responsibilities

  • To assist the project coordinator to ensure smooth implementation of the Women's Documentation Center Project.
  • To assist Project Coordinator for a proper implementation of the "APC1 MDG3 Strengthening Women's use of ICT" project specific on Violence against women and ICT which is a global project in collaboration with the APC.

2. Selection criteria

  • Bachelor degree in management, Communication, Human and Science or equivalent
  • Having at least one year experience in one of the following development projects - gender, women, media, rights advocacy. 
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management, research methodology, electronic communication, gender equality, information management, basic content publishing and photo editor application. 
  • Be motivated to work for a social project and to continue learning while working. 
  • Speak and write good Khmer and English languages. 
  • Have good time management and interpersonal skills, be discipline, ability to work as part of a team member and under pressure, and be able to work with little supervision.

3. Working condition and Salary

  • This position is full time employment and recruitment is as soon as possible.
  • Be able to travel to provinces and outside of the country in short notice. 
  • Attractive salary will be offered base on experience and qualifications.
