The Open Institute is a local Cambodian NGO which supports the social and economic development of Cambodia by working in three major fields: gender equity, development of research capacity and information technology development. In particular, the Open Institute runs the program "Structuring Partnerships for an Innovative Communications Environment" (SPICE) which is an exciting initiative funded by USAID to help raise the technological level of the country through the use of mobile phones. In order to prepare all the training materials and activities that take place under this program, the Open Institute is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Training and Promotional materials developer.
 
The Training and Promotional material developer will:
 

  1. Design and produce new training materials based on the program's needs.
  2. Revise and update the existing training materials.
  3. Help managers and master trainers solve specific training problem and revise the training materials to fix any problems in the training process.
  4. Pilot-test the training materials produced or improved.
  5. Identify the marketing materials necessary to promote the use of Khmer language in mobile phones and other tools created by the program in order to increase social communications. Develop of these materials.

 
6. Perform training used the developed materials whenever required.
 
Qualified candidates for Training and Promotional Materials Developer will be able to autonomously create training materials that are pedagogically correct and explain clearly the concepts of the training in a way that they can be easily understood by the target population of the training. In particular, the candidate should have:
 

  1. Training on education or pedagogy, or/and wide experience on the development of materials to be used in training.
  2. Bachelor degree in computer science.
  3. Experience on the use of the computer applications to design documents, such as Adobe products.
  4. Experience in teaching of computer skills.
  5. Advance in Khmer and good knowledge of English to search and learn new things, be able to communicate about the job in English.

 
The positions are based in Phnom Penh.
