The Open Institute is starting working on "Structuring Partnerships for an Innovative Communications Environment", an exciting new program funded by USAID that will work to help raise the technological level of the country.

The Open Institute is starting a new and exciting project to support the Ministry of Women's Affairs in the preparation of a Gender Observatory for Cambodia. For this work, the project is seeking qualified candidates to fill in a position of Social Analyst (1 position) and Researchers (3 positions).

The Open Institute presently runs seven programs: Women, KhmerOS, Open Schools, E-learning, Publications, Lexicography and the River of Knowledge.

We work to help the economic development of Cambodia by providing computer tools in Khmer language that can be used by everybody. These tools are already widely used in schools, NGOs, companies and in a good part of government offices.
We also help develop and localize educational multimedia applications that will be used in the education system to help students understand better their subjects.
