The Open Institute is a local non-governmental and not-for-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate knowledge sharing and communication for social development in Cambodia. It presently runs five programs: KhmerOS, Women, E-learning, Lexicography and Publications. The Open Institute is seeking a qualified candidate for the Webmaster position.
1. Responsibilities
- To develop and to maintain the Free and Open Source Content Management Systems used by the Open Institute – Drupal, Moodle and etc.
2. Qualifications and Experience
- Graduated from Computer Science, or had equivalent degree.
- Having at least one year of experience in managing a dynamic website or a web portal.
- Having sufficient competence to use web programming: PHP, CSS, HTML; to administer MySQL database; and to use a web editor application such as Macromedia Dreamweaver.
- Be creative and artful in web and graphic design using Photoshop, CorelDRAW.
- Candidates who are familiar with Linux hosting and knowledgeable about Open Source Content Management Systems, e.g. Drupal, and Linux Operating System will be specially considered.
- Good personality, time management, discipline, and less supervision.
- Speak and write good Khmer and English language.
3. Working condition and Salary
- This position is full time employment and recruitment is as soon as possible.
- Be able to travel to provinces and outside of the country in short notice.
- Attractive salary will be offered base on experience and qualifications.
